Google’s revenue hit $6.77 billion in the quarter which ended March 31, 2010. It is up 23 percent compared to the first quarter of 2009. Important information for all advertisers is that people clicked 15 percent more times on Google search ads in the first quarter of 2010, compared with the first quarter in 2009. The average fee which Google charges advertisers per ad click increased about 7 percent. Most of Google’s revenue comes from pay-per-click search ads. Google also hired more people, and the company increased its global staff during the first quarter from 19,835 to 20,621 full-time employees.
